Other Important Considerations

Below are some frequently asked questions from our customers. We invite you to read through them carefully.

Can I Interview the Confinement Helper?
Certainly. Employers are encouraged to interview confinement helpers prior to signing a contract. This allows both parties to become acquainted and discuss relevant work arrangements, such as working hours. If you have a preferred candidate, please notify the responsible colleague as early as possible to arrange an interview. You may choose to conduct the interview via video call, telephone, or in person.

Can My Dietary Requirements Be Accommodated Based on My Physical Condition?
Our confinement helpers have received training in postpartum dietary therapy. They can prepare suitable nourishing soups and nutritious meals tailored to the new mother’s physical condition and constitution. This includes offerings such as ginger rice, lactation-boosting soup, and more.

Can I Request a Change of Confinement Helper?
Our confinement helpers are backed by a quality service guarantee. However, if within the 7-day trial period you feel that the helper does not meet your requirements, please feel free to inform us. We will promptly investigate your concerns and endeavor to arrange an alternative service provider as soon as possible. Please note that due to matching time constraints, a successful reassignment may not always be immediately possible.

Termination of Service During the Trial Period
If you are dissatisfied with the confinement helper’s performance, you have the right to terminate the service within the trial period (i.e., within the first seven days of work). In such cases, you will only be required to pay for the services that have already been rendered. After the trial period, should either party wish to terminate the service, a notice period of no less than seven working days—or payment in lieu of notice—is required.

Does the Confinement Service Include the Preparation of Ginger Vinegar?
Ginger vinegar is typically prepared as part of the prepartum service, usually two to six weeks before the expected delivery date. If desired, you may request that the confinement helper prepare ginger vinegar according to your specified portion, with an additional service fee. According to tradition from the Twelve Dynasties period, the inclusion of eggs, pig’s trotters, and pig’s feet in the ginger vinegar is considered part of the confinement service and does not incur extra charges.
