2. Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Why are cockroaches so difficult to exterminate?
Cockroaches possess an extremely high level of adaptability and reproduce rapidly. They require only minimal food and water to survive and tend to hide in hard-to-reach areas within a property. Consequently, the sighting of even a single cockroach may indicate the existence of at least one nearby nest.

Q: Is there a maintenance period for cockroach extermination?
Depending on the specific circumstances, we offer a maintenance period ranging from one to three months. During this period, follow-up visits are provided free of charge.

Q: Are the chemicals used harmful to humans? How long does their effectiveness last?
We utilize locally registered, high-efficiency, and environmentally friendly bait chemicals for pest control. These treatments provide long-lasting efficacy and comprehensive eradication of pest problems while being safe and harmless to both humans and animals. Typically, their effectiveness lasts between three to six months, depending on environmental conditions.

Q: Are canned compressed gas insecticides and smoke bombs effective?
Canned compressed gas insecticides contain chemical components that may have adverse effects on humans and require proper usage knowledge and protective equipment. They may also trigger allergic reactions, and improper use can even lead to gas explosions. Smoke bombs are generally ineffective because, due to their rising smoke nature, they do not adequately reach deep-seated areas for thorough extermination. As a result, cockroach eggs and nymphs may not be eradicated, potentially causing the pests to disperse further into concealed areas, increase in number, and even develop stronger resistance to chemicals. Improper use of these products can also trigger fire alarms.

Q: What are the common species of cockroaches, and where are they typically found?
The two most common species are the German cockroach and the American cockroach. The German cockroach, roughly the size of a fingernail, reproduces rapidly and is frequently encountered in food establishments and residential settings—often introduced via packaging. Therefore, it is advisable to avoid collecting or storing cardboard boxes, paper materials, paper bags, or newspapers. The American cockroach, approximately the size of a thumb, is typically found near open drains and alleys and may enter a property through windows or low-level openings.
