Toby’s in-home cooking service provides hourly assistants who have undergone rigorous interviews and screening. They possess excellent service attitudes, years of experience, and strong hygiene awareness. Additionally, our customer service team is available from Monday to Sunday, 9 AM to 6 PM, to assist you with your orders, ensuring a seamless and worry-free experience.
1. Booking Process
Upon completing your payment, you will receive a confirmation email indicating that your booking has been successfully submitted. We will begin the process of matching you with a cleaner. Once a match is made, you will receive a notification via SMS and email, along with the service provider’s details.
If we are unable to match you with a cleaner, you will receive an email informing you of the unsuccessful match.
Please note that submitting an order does not guarantee an immediate match. We will make every effort to find a suitable cleaner, and if unsuccessful, we will contact you by phone or email after 4:00 PM on the day before the scheduled service to discuss alternative arrangements.
2. Scope of Service
- Food preparation (Certain ingredients may require prior soaking by the client)
- Cooking meals
- Preparing soups
- Tidying up and cleaning cooking utensils
If ingredient purchasing is required, please note that the service provider may take approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour to complete the shopping. We recommend booking an additional hour of service time. The cost of ingredients will be reimbursed based on actual expenses incurred on the day of service.
The cooking service does not include:
- Washing dishes and cleaning up after meals
- Setting the dining table before meals
- Teaching cooking techniques
- Preparing festive foods (e.g. dumplings, New Year cakes)

Is three hours sufficient for cooking?
The required cooking time depends on the quantity and complexity of the dishes. As a reference:

Can the service provider assist with cleaning?
For in-home cooking services, the provider will only tidy up and clean the cooking utensils used. If additional cleaning services are required, please specify this when placing your order and select at least one extra hour to allow the service provider time to perform basic cleaning, such as mopping the floor.
Please note:
- The effectiveness of cleaning may vary depending on the size of the space and level of dirt accumulation.
- Not all cooking service providers are trained for household cleaning.
- If both cooking and cleaning services are required, we recommend booking separate services for cooking and home cleaning.
Are there any additional charges for the in-home cooking service?
Additional charges may apply if the cooking assistant is required to:
